These are our thoughts on our participation in Faconauto together with IVECO and Samsung

Pau Barca Coll, CEO Inforserveis, and Ricardo Veganzones, Product & Customer Service Director of IVECO Spain and Portugal, explain what CAR is and its consolidated success stories: IVECO and SEAT in their presentation “How to digitize a workshop in 5 days?”.

“At Inforserveis we have been developing automotive software for more than 30 years, seeking a balance between technological evolution and evolution adapted to our customers,” states Pau Barca in the conference opening at the Faconauto Congress.

CAR-Samsung’s success at IVECO and SEAT

CAR is the example of a digital service with which Inforserveis tries to transform the market to adjust it to users who require greater demands. The success achieved with this software is indisputable, as the figures speak for themselves: “CAR is installed in more than 90% of SEAT and with this we have achieved more than 150,000 receptions in the last six months,” says Barca.

From IVECO’s side, they point out that CAR “gives a return”. Ricardo Veganzones remarks, “it is an investment with which great results are soon achieved. We have seen that we are able to sell 15% more spare parts per work order in the first semester”.

Veganzones points out that there is a very important part which is the efficiency and effectiveness of the workshop, confirming that on average IVECO has managed to save 45 mechanic minutes / day, which is “an outrage”, as he himself qualifies.

Pau Barca explains that part of the success is due to the fact of “not touching the structural base of the workshop”. This ensures that users have the confidence to “jump into the pool” with CAR. “They continue to have their DMS, which they’re familiar with. This way they are more proactive and immediately begin to see the advantages that digitization offers“.

What characteristics does CAR have? Pau Barca explains them

“CAR is a cloud software that digitizes the workshop from the appointment, reception, repair, extension, unification, quality control until the vehicle’s return and even a powerful CRM”, defines Barca concisely and briefly.

The objective of this tool is to give agility to the entire process, being sustainable – it eliminates the use of paper-, improving data processing, and providing greater efficiency and productivity.

CAR works with Big Data, which means greater speed and reliability in the management of thousands of data. “With CAR we are able to foresee, overtake and leave nothing behind, while keeping users informed of all the points where their vehicle is,” says Pau Barca.

Communication, both internal and external, is essential in CAR’s strategy, as it allows for greater comfort, interaction and transparency. For this reason, Barca points out that “transparency is a very good weapon, since it gives the client confidence. From the moment he leaves the keys to his vehicle until he returns to pick it up, he knows where he has been at all times and this is crucial. “

Another of the key points of the CAR software is connectivity: “Our goal is to do more concrete things, but very well connected with the global world, that is why in Spain we have been connected with the main DMS’ for a long time”.

“Everything is adapted to each vehicle model to provide a highly personalized user experience,” says Barca. In fact, CAR wouldn’t exist without strong versatility and constant adaptation to the current market.

Pau Barca: “We are breaking a paradigm”

Beyond the innovative functionalities, Pau Barca points out the disruption that CAR implies in the market through a curious fact: “The process on which the network of workshops in Spain is based is described in the BOE of 1981. The format, the legal texts that must be included, the guarantees, etc. All this is described in this BOE, therefore, we are breaking a very big paradigm, and that is the challenge we are trying to explain”.
